WineFuture HK - how was it?
I got back from Hong Kong early yesterday morning and, thanks to a good night's sleep and an afternoon siesta, was able to attend both annual events organised by the Institute of Masters of Wine: the annual bordeaux tasting (featuring 2007s and a couple of innovations this year) in the morning and the annual ceremony to welcome new Masters of Wine in the evening.
I wish I'd had a Hong Kong dollar for every time I was asked yesterday 'How was WineFuture?' My general response was 'better than I expected'. The longer version would probably have been 'better than the first day suggested it would be'. The first day was half a day...
