Latour - life beyond primeurs
I last saw the director of Ch Latour Frédéric Engerer at a wedding in Hong Kong in early March. He told me there was something he wanted to discuss with me and asked when would I next be in Bordeaux. He followed up with a couple of emails. But thanks to Nick's forthcoming, and prolonged as it turned out, stay in hospital, I knew that I would not be in Bordeaux for several months so I missed my briefing on the big announcement Engerer first made in public last Friday: that from the 2012 vintage onwards, this first growth will not be sold en primeur.
