I know we must seem like a book machine here. There is the massive Wine Grapes from me, Julia and José Vouillamoz.
And there is also the acclaimed Art of
the Restaurateur written by my husband and restaurant critic of the
Financial Times and Jancis Robinson.com, Nicholas Lander (cue cheers).
Over the next few weeks there are two wine dinners to celebrate Nick’s book,
one at the very smart, Michelin-starred country house hotel Hambleton Hall in Rutland and one at
the delightful Quo Vadis restaurant in Soho, London (as drawn left on their website) – both run by members of the
talented Hart family profiled in Nick’s book. It's worth noting that since Nick wrote the article to which the last link directs you, the Hart brothers have recruited Jeremy Lee from the Blueprint Cafe to head the kitchens at Quo Vadis, so the food is even better than it was. For what it's worth, I’ll be attending the Rutland event but may well be too jetlagged to get to the London one since it is just after
we get back from a week in New York and the day after our Decanter Masterclass. See details of all three events below.
