All change at Pichon Lalande
I suspect I was not the only Bordeaux watcher to be quite surprised by the appointment less than two years ago of Sylvie Cazes, of the family that owns and runs Ch Lynch Bages in Pauillac, as administrator of nearby second growth Ch Pichon Lalande (see Nausea, a whirlwind and scewcaps in Bordeaux - Sylvie was the whirlwind). In the picture showing me at the tasting of 2010 primeurs at Ch Pichon Lalande in April 2011, Sylvie is on the left, the previous incumbent Gildas d'Ollone, in the background.
