Anthony Hanson MW, who will be conducting the Hospices de Beaune auction of 2012s for Christie's this weekend, adds to Burgundy 2012 - a difficult birth : Please allow me to take issue with some of your comments on the 2012 European wine harvest in The wine lake is decisively drained . I believe that some errors crept into your overview of what happened, at least in respect of Burgundy. I declare an interest, as we at Christie's are presently involved in describing the 2012 Burgundy vintage, and in particular the Hospices de Beaune wines, ahead of the 152nd Beaune charity auction, which will take place next...
