Jonathan Hesford of Domaine Treloar in southern Roussillon made the point recently on our Members' forum that his 2012 growing season and harvest had been much easier than the one reported here by Graham Nutter in the western Languedoc. I therefore asked him to send the following vintage report. I stress that this report is specific to the Aspres region. I know that growers in Maury are nowhere near as happy but I don't wish to speak for them. The official figures show the smallest harvest on record for the Roussillon.
