Some top wines from February

February was another bumper month for our tasting note database, with 894 wines scoring 17 or above. Of those, two thirds were 2011 burgundies , and the rest were mostly split between Germany, Portugal, the Rhône and Brunello. There was also a clutch of notes that snuck into our database as standalones, meaning they were not published as part of tasting articles. Here are some highlights: Three bottles of 1985 Lynch-Bages with three very different results, and a 1985 Rioja Alta, 904 Gran Reserva too. A lovely Bastardo (aka Trousseau) by Quinta da Muradella in Monterrei  The 'massively broad' 2005 Ex Voto white Hermitage...
