Latest additions

22 Apr 2013 by Jancis Robinson

Housekeeping announcement of a few small but perfectly formed things that have very recently been added to the site and I wanted to be sure you didn't miss them.

First off, there are just two more hours to back specialist Jura wine writer Wink Lorch's Jura book project. See more here.

I also recently added a most enthusiastic note on a dry white 2012 made in Bordeaux that is arguably the single most interesting 2012 bordeaux I have so far tasted - except that it is made from such strange grapes that it can be sold only as a lowly Vin de France (the new equivalent of Vin de Table). Le Retout Blanc is grown in Lamarque between Margaux and St-Julien by Hélène and Frédéric Soual, who topgrafted Merlot vines with Gros Manseng, Sauvignon Gris, my old friend Mondeuse Blanche (Syrah's mummy) and founder variety Savagnin (see Wine Grapes).

And finally, we have been trying to crack the problems reported in Brief survey results - part 5. A few of you have had difficulty remaining logged in and being able to access Purple Pages without having to key in your email and password each time. Our developer Jonathan suggests this is most likely to be due to cookies not being enabled. Kindly see this section of our Site FAQs.
