Are you free tonight?

Many thanks to those of you who have already kindly sent your cheques to book a place at tonight's wine tasting in London NW3 in aid of the South Hampstead High School World Challenge trip to Vietnam. I'm looking forward very much to seeing you (two of those going turned up chez nous at the party we gave for Nick's brother-in-law yesterday quite coincidentally).

This is just to spell out that South Hampstead High School is on the corner of Maresfield Gardens and Fitzjohn's Avenue and is equidistant from Swiss Cottage and Finchley Road tube stations. There should also be good parking possibilities from 6.30. Sports hall doors open 7pm, wine tasting 7.30.

Thanks to the kindness of Waitrose and Adrian Walsh of Food & Fine Wine in Sheffield we have good stocks of wine so if you do want to apply for a last-minute ticket at £20 a head, feel free to send an email application here by 3pm and I will confirm by email. Kindly bring along either cash or your chequebook to pay at the door.

There will also be a chance to stock up on solids – some fine cheeses – and to win various appealing raffle prizes, as well a chance to win or buy a signed copy of the latest, 3rd edition of The Oxford Companion to Wine.
