Bordeaux 2006 tasting notes – dry whites

This collection of 31 dry white bordeaux is the most consistently successful in all of Bordeaux in 2006. The snazziest dry whites – from Haut-Brion and Margaux – are great wines by any standards at all. And the dry white Pessac-Léognans are so different from the old style with its sometimes rather old-fashioned winemaker. Today there is no oiliness, no oakiness, no excess of sulphur – just very fine wine and really good drinks!
