Cyprus slowly joins the ranks of modern wine producers


 Cyprus has around 1.5 million British visitors a year but I have rarely heard anyone come back raving about the wines. I suspect there have been problems similar to those in other holiday destinations such as Greece, where restaurants lacked the facilities to store wine correctly and ended up serving wine that had been gently baking in the sun. Very frustrating for the better producers who had taken great care to control temperatures during vinification.
