Hail hits the Mosel again

Last Wednesday, 20 June, hail storms in the Middle Mosel caused severe damage in some of the region’s vineyards. Worst hit were the towns and villages of Lieser, Kuers, Andel, Mülheim, Maring-Noviand, Veldenz, Zeltingen-Rachtig, and Kinheim. The mayor of Lieser reported that in some vineyards the total prospective harvest may have been destroyed and the financial damage is expected to run into hundreds of thousands of euros.
