This is the text of a talk given in London this month by Jean-Claude Mas of Les Domaines Paul Mas (DPM), makers of that La Forge Merlot 2001, a wine of the week last year, immediately prior to a big tasting of the wines of France. I'm reprinting it (in his own note form) because I think it shows a degree of international awareness unusual in a French wine producer. It also contains a few interesting facts and figures.
