Warning: if you are interested only in fine wine, and not at all in UK supermarkets, don’t waste your time reading this. As promised in my earlier pointer to Tesco’s serious champagne bargain, here are the 10 wines that did most for me among the 90 or so that Britain’s leading supermarket chose to show to us wine writers recently. Overall I’d say the wines were rather less varied and less stimulating than those shown by big rivals Sainsbury’s recently, and tended to come from an obviously limited range of big company suppliers.
