Bettane and Desseauve to leave RVF

Michel Bettane, France's leading wine writer, and his co-author of the annual Classement des Meilleurs Vins de France  Thierry Desseauve have offically resigned from the only serious French consumer wine magazine La Revue du Vin de France with effect from the end of this month.   With such a dominant position, RVF has been usefully profitable for many a year and was therefore one of the more obviously saleable assets of the small press group which owned it until last July when it was taken over by the powerful Marie Claire group, still family owned but increasingly close to the...
