Morris & Verdin to go up west?
18 Nov 2003 by JR

Distinctive, idiosyncratic fine wine merchant Morris & Verdin of London SE1 has reportedly been sold to traditional family firm Berry Bros & Rudd. The firm was run with great buying flair by Jasper Morris, who was a Master of Wine contemporary of mine.

The firm is particularly strong on burgundy (Morris lives near Beaune for much of the year) and California (Ridge, Au Bon Climat, Bonny Doon, etc) but has other gems such as Giaconda, Prager, Ostertag, Selbach Oster and Vega Sicilia.

In short a very different list from that of Berrys...
