Assorted Californian Wines

11 May 2002 - more than 80 additional tasting notes on current Californian releases have been added. Alas, too many of them from the 1998 vintage. Not all of them disappointing but too many with signs of under-ripeness, an uncommon trait in modern Californian wine. Most of these wines were tasted in London towards the end of 2001 or in late March 2002 and are listed in alphabetical order of winery name (Robert Mondavi, for example, listed under R), whites before reds.
