I am a lover of Cape Mentelle and go to West Australia quite often and have visited the vineyard. I think all their red wines have a flavour which is distinct from any others in that region. According to their tasting notes they have grapes supplied from other vineyards so it seems unlikley it would come from the grapes (?), more likely from the wine-making process. If you agree about the difference in flavour/bouquet can you comment.
