According to news just in from 425 Aviation Boulevard, Santa Rosa, HQ of Jackson Wine Estates International, Jess Jackson, onlie begetter of Kendall Jackson who has moved on from sweet branded Chardonnay to his family's group of wine estates around the world, now has a base in France.
The last time I went to Vinexpo, Bordeaux's big (too big) wine fair, a good four years ago, he was already sniffing around the region and rumours were rife. Now comes the official announcement of a 'joint venture' with Monique and Pierre Seillan, his French-born head winemaker, at Château Lassègue on the eastern Côtes of St Emilion....
