Mendoza Malbec over four decades

I mentioned this vertical tasting of Malbecs from one of Mendoza’s senior producers in Even Malbecs want to be Pinot Noirs now and thought you might be interested to read an account of the evolution of this wine style over the last three decades. Alberto Arizu hosted the tasting with his brother Gustavo who spoke in more detail about the evolution of the winemaking process. Note the move from rustic, hot fermentations to much more smoothness and freshness.
