The 1999 vintage produced some exceptional Oregon Pinots which Americans should try to track down before they disappear from the market.

Britain is far from the best place from which to keep track of Oregon Pinot Noirs and these notes may well be of more use to American purple pagers than any others for Oregonians are not great exporters. Their wines can look expensive once they have been shipped across the Atlantic relative to some of Burgundy's earlier-maturing wines (see Stone, Vine & Sun for some current bargains in that category).
