23 May 2005 by JR
Spanish wine aficionado and writer Gerry Dawes:   You probably don't know that Termanthia and L'Ermita have merged and are going to make a blend of Priorat and Toro called El Termita (no feminine vino , this).  Word has it that emboldened termites attacked some of the barrels and those that survived the alcohol went on to mutate into a ferocious strain of new French oak-devouring insects.  We could be seeing the beginning of the end of cult wine as we now know it. me: I'm sure we'll be reading all about it in the Wine Terminator .
