Raveneau's long-distance Chablis

If the 1995 Montée de Tonnerre is anything to go by, Raveneau's reputation for wines with excellent ageing potential is well deserved. This was the oldest wine in the selection at a recent tasting organised by Roberson Wine in West London but the younger wines were also full of promise as well as giving real pleasure already. In fact, when I tasted the 1995, I wondered if I had been rather conservative in my suggested drinking dates.
