Phew! I have finally come to the end of a long series of tightly packed deadlines for my weekly column in The Financial Times. Space is at a premium on the pink pages but there is no such constraint on the online versions of my sure-fire selections for festive wines published on this website.

I tried to give the most obvious UK stockists but my lists of stockists are almost certainly far from comprehensive. Do check with winesearcher.com for more stockists both in the UK and elsewhere.
Please also note that I have given prices for single-bottle purchases but some merchants – notably Majestic and those who sell everything by mail order – may insist that you buy at least six or 12 assorted bottles.
