Now here's a new feature on jancisrobinson.com - a second visit. A purple pager asked me some time back for information on this less-than-briliantly-successful vintage for Bordeaux and I promised to revise my initial report on the basis of tasting them en primeur in April 2002 which appears in full in the 2002 archive . Last November I re-tasted a significant proportion of the more important 2001s and thought you might be interested in the various different ways that wines can develop in bottle.
