2000 bordeaux - another good look

  These 58 important 2000 red bordeaux were tasted in London in nov 04 and looked, generally, pretty gorgeous – although there are more exceptions to this rule than one might want or expect (see below). Because the wines were assembled by the Institute of Masters of Wine, the selection of wines is pretty classic and the tasting a garagiste -free zone. Nonetheless on the right bank there were very clear stylistic differences, as between, for example, Belair and Figeac on the side of the ancients and Clinet and Beauregard representing the modernists, with Angélus  and Hosanna tasting like an...
