New Zealand Pinot Noirs - mainly 2003s
See also my overview of NZ Pinot in general, and a profile of Central Otago in particular in wine news from Saturday 19 mar. Most of the 120+ wines below were tasted blind within region – except for the Central Otago and some of the Waipara wines which were not. I’ve also added a few tasting notes for Pinots from other vintages which were not tasted blind either. Please note that I have scored all of these wines in the context of New World Pinot Noir rather than on the same scale as I would mark red burgundies.
