Five current Albariños
In response to a recent eulogy of this exciting Spanish white varietal on your turn , I tasted the following four Galician Albariños and liked them all. What was notable about the labelling of the first two was how incredibly discreetly the vintage is signalled, in tiny print on the back label.
Agnus Dei Albari ñ o 2005 R í as Baixas 17.5 Drink 2006-07
Excellent acidity and substance with strongly marine hints. Impressively long and only 12.5 per cent alcohol.
Terra Firme Albari ñ o 2005 R í as Baixas 17 Drink 2007
Very intense indeed and still quite firm....
