Decanter Fine Wine Encounter
29 Aug 2006 by JR
The Decanter Fine Wine Encounter, a weekend of fine wine tasting and masterclasses in London’s Landmark Hotel, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and I’ll be doing a masterclass entitled ‘Truly 21st Century Wines’. Other masterclasses include Raymond Blanc's food and fine wine matching, a presentation of Mas de Daumas Gassac by owner and winemaker Samuel Guibert, Roberto Bava’s chocolate and fine wine matching, John Radford’s fine wines of Spain, Château Margaux by Corinne Mentzelopoulous and winemaker Paul Pontallier, Michael Garner’s exploration of fine wines of Tuscany, and a tour of the Médoc properties owned by the Merlaut family.

The Grand Tasting, which takes place throughout the weekend, includes over 600 fine wines from around 100 world-famous producers.

There will also be a Charity Wine Auction in association with Christie’s. Snap up some great wines for Christmas while raising funds for WaterAid.
