Ken Black, USA: Is there any valid research of the effect of long term refrigeration of wine? My curiosity was piqued by a reference to old champagne retaining youthful taste after a long period submerged in a very cold body of water. I have often heard or read that refrigerating wine for a long period was detrimentmental. If true, what is the cause? What actually happens to the wine in these conditions?...
