What's the Wine Standards Board?

Rami, UK: What is the function of WSB, and who employs them? I understand they have inspectors etc. Are they a kind of Trading Standards people? me: Yes the WSB is the Wine Standards Board whose job it is to police the British wine trade. They have to enforce the letter of European law, particularly as regards labelling. Not the most thrilling job in the world, I would have thought.
