James Stark, UK: lAny idea what fault this might be ? I opened a bottle of Sancerre Vacheron 2002 last night. Up to now all the bottles from this case have been classic Sancerre on the nose and palate . This bottle smelt strangely of apples once poured. When tasted it was flat, with no recognisable sauvignon characteristics with a nasty acid aftertaste.
