Acupuncture and tasting

I think this is an original and interesting question: have you ever tried acupuncture to sharpen your senses prior to a wine tasting or dinner? I was very sceptical about that aspect of this famous Chinese alternative medicine but I got amazing results. In my experience I could feel the results for almost a week. I wonder if Simon Tam could comment on the subject.
