Accents - a persuave argument

Peter Liem, US: On the issue of accents, I must say that I feel very strongly about including them in any text, whether printed or on the web. Diacritics are a fundamental part of written language, and while I am sure that we can all fully comprehend the words ‘Rhone’, 'spatlese', or even ‘Comte de Vogue’, the omission of the proper accents in a written text definitely leaves something wanting. At best it looks like an obvious oversight; at the very worst it appears unprofessional and slightly illiterate. (Not that anyone would ever...
