Soaves worth cellaring

John Goodwin, London:   Not surprising but still refreshing to find you making the important point to your enquirer about 2003 Burgundy that one needs to be able to decode the merchants' spiel; they may have to sell the stuff every year but that doesn't mean we have to buy it.  While you were away (much missed) from the FT your 'locum' [the estimable Andrew Jefford] had a piece on Pieropan's Soaves. I have bought La Rocca over the years and am now on the superb 2000.None of my vintage guides covers Soave so I wonder if you could advise on whether there has been a vintage since 2000 of a quality worth buying to keep for a bit?...
