Charles Taylor, London: I'm sure you must get fed up with discussions on the merits and demerits of scoring wines, but... I'm a new subscriber, and looking at your Kiwi Pinot Noir tasting notes have a couple of questions. I gather that the Dry River 2003 is not a very enjoyable drink at the moment, but I also know that Neil McCallum reckons it his best vintage yet. (I know, they all say that.) I imagine that given the quality of the fruit he has been emboldened to take some risks and trying for something above the ordinary.
