What my scores mean

I'm sure you must get fed up with discussions on the merits and demerits of scoring wines, but... I'm a new subscriber, and looking at your Kiwi Pinot Noir tasting notes have a couple of questions. I gather that the Dry River 2003 is not a very enjoyable drink at the moment, but I also know that Neil McCallum reckons it his best vintage yet. (I know, they all say that.) I imagine that given the quality of the fruit he has been emboldened to take some risks and trying for something above the ordinary. Do your scores attempt to include any assessment of the wines' future joys?
