Help visiting Rioja, please

In early July I will be visiting Rioja and would welcome any advice regarding where to stay and eat (or not as the case might be) from those that have visited Haro and environs recently. (I am ok with the names of wineries that I wish to visit.)

I haven't been to the region since 2000 so would welcome input from others here. I assume that any visitor should take a look at Frank Gehry's new winery for Riscal at Elciego, and at that new museum in Rioja Alavesa?
