Will Avila Pinot Noir age?
25 Apr 2005 by JR
Rami, GB: I bought Avila Pinot Noir 2003 on your recommendation and loved it, thank you. Will it age a bit do you think? I would like to buy more -hence my question, please. me: My guess is that it will drink well for another 12 months but will start to lose its chief attribute, fresh fruit, after that. So glad you liked it. Last week's wine of the week was another California bargain, also the result of a winery's financial woes. Sonoma Creek Chardonnay 2001 at £3.99 from Majestic should be drunk immediately however.
