David Lester, Manchester University: You wrote in More bordeaux 2004 prices dribble out : 'In fact, please, please, please overwhelm them with your enthusiasm for this wine so that other proprietors realise that if they too price their wines below 2002 and 2001 levels they will be rewarded....' But, but, but: I have cases and cases and cases of tannic young Bordeaux (2000-3); and I have a titanic hole in my current account where the money for the 2002 burgundies used to be; and I ought to retain some cash for the 2003 ports and 2004 German Rieslings. Sadly for the Bordeaux châteaux, I feel sure I'm not alone. me: Well...
