Which are the best kosher wines?
Jerry Spoto, Southern Wine & Spirits, Coral Gables, FL: Recently I've been assisting a restaurant/customer in selecting wines to fill the Kosher section of his wine list. I've come across a few decent wines but, so far, nothing capable of exciting me. Are there any Kosher producers that you fancy? Secondly, I'm fascinated by the concept of a wine being "mevushal". Don't you think the heating of the must hurts the overall quality of the end-product? Perhaps imparting a subtle, or maybe not-so-subtle, soupy quality.
