Why one of my books is not worth reading

Dr Norman L Rosenthal, Philadelphia: A UK friend, business associate and fellow wine lover gave me a copy of your book, Confessions of a Wine Lover, which I've almost finished reading. I must be honest and tell you that I approached the book with high expectations and have been disappointed.  First, I found the book too full of minutia that could probably only be appreciated if you were from the UK.  Second, I think the prose is rather wordy, somewhat like an English translation of an Italian wine book.  And finally, I didn't find it very humorous or witty like Peter Mayle's Acquired Taste , for example. I was hoping your book...
