Majestic v Oddbins v the independents

I apologise if the following question isn't appropriate, or it you've already addressed it in the past, but... in general, what's your opinion of the wine choices made by Majestic Wine Warehouse? With the loss of the old Oddbins, they seem the logical place to turn, especially for us country mice, a long way from a rich choice of independents? Majestic seems to have good things on offer, at keen prices. But I haven't given them a try.
