Who made the Sonoma Creek bargains
Leslie, Talley Vineyards, CA: Just saw your article regarding Sonoma Creek Chardonnay (sorry I didn't see it sooner). I worked for Sonoma Creek during the vintages mentioned. The vast majority of grapes used in the Chardonnay were actually Estate fruit owned by the Larson family. There were a few tons added that were owned by other people, yet were still farmed by the Larsons. The Sonoma Merlot and Cabernet were also owned and farmed primarily by the Larsons.
