Patience Waddilove, Dorset: Curious to hear someone as august as yourself finds Sauvignon Blanc difficult to love (see last week's wine of the week). So do we. We make an exception for the Sancerres of Vincent Pinard, which we first discovered at Howard's House in Teffont Evias, and then sourced at Great Western Wines in Bath. (Now there's an  exceptional independent wine merchant.) M. Pinard's Sancerre Cuvée Florès simply doesn't taste like a Sauvignon Blanc. It does, however, taste sublime - delicate and elegant. We haven't yet tried the 2004, but assume his vineyard management is as good as other years.    Would anyone care...
