Wine retailers who post scores
Terry Hughes, New York: I was in Virginia recently and walked into a large wine retailer, a self-described discounter (not really though). I was struck by the hundreds of hang tags declaring that this wine received a 90 from The Wine Advocate and that wine a 92 from Wine Spectator . You don't see that much or at all in New York. Is this a widespread phenomenon? And does anyone else see a correlation between score-o-mania and prices that are not as good as they should be?
