Gary Gillman, Toronto: Thanks for the welcoming note !  I really enjoyed your 01 mar 03 Madeira article . I have a bottle given to me as a gift some years ago (sourced I was told at Vintages of the LCBO [the Ontario retail monopoly]), of Madeira 1900 Boal.  The label states also, "Manuel De Sousa Herdeiros, LDA -  Funchal - Madeira".  On the back, "crop 1900, maturity grade reachead [sic] in oak casks.  Lot 5.200 litres.  Bottled in 1978.  The bottles are numbered from 1 to 8,000".
