John Boyes, UK: Do you believe that English sparkling wine is the future of the English wine industry taking into consideration the capacity of the industry and capacity for growth?   me: I must say that on the basis of what I've tasted so far, and the undoubted achievements of producers such as Nyetimber and Ridgeview, not to mention the best bottles of Chapel Down and others, making a fair copy of champagne does seem the best use of England's natural conditions, even in this period of rising temperatures.  And one only has to look at the results of the annual English wine competition to have this impression confirmed by...
