What exactly is 'premium' wine?

Dr John Parr, Cheltenham: Is there a danger that the term 'Premium' as applied to wine will become meaningless with inappropriate use? I wonder what you and other purple pagers feel is the valid and appropriate context for the use of this term. me: Bravo! I think the term Premium has already, like the term Reserve,  become meaningless. And don't get me started on this term Icon that some companies use to tell us which of their wines they want us to pay through the nose for. We'll decide on our own icons, thank you.
