Tasting terroir in Toronto

Gary Gillmann, Toronto: Inspired by the discussion on terroir I made a peregrination through the aisles of Vintages, the fine wine section of the Liquor Control Board of Ontario.  I was looking for a bottle whose label claimed a specific influence of terroir on the wine.  Little did I expect to find a wine which used the term in its very name, but I did! It is 2002 Pouilly-Fuissé Terroir.  The label further states the wine is from the Jean-Pierre Seve vineyard on the slope of the Solutré rock, has been made for four generations and issues from a " terroir d'exception ".  I bought the bottle since I thought the wine might be a...
