A single quinta port bargain
Mark Prust, Wales: Is this a bargain? In my local Sainsbury's I bought a bottle of Grahams Quinta dos Malvedos 1996 vintage port for £10. I know 1996 was a poor year but for £10 you can't go wrong can you? me: That's given away! The 1996 single quinta ports are first class at the moment. (Tesco's Quinta de Vargellas 1996 from Taylor is stunning, but £22.41.) Which branch of Sainsbury's is making this delightful mistake in pricing? Mark Prust again: I had to go to England to get this bargain. I found it in Oswestry and Shrewsbury Sainsbury branches.
